Day Two Highlights

  • Visited Tsai Hsing School. The school goes from Kindergarten through Grade 12. They have implemented a unique distance learning program. Student's in the photo are receiving instruction in English from a teacher in New York. This allows the student's an opportunity to experience a progressive English speaking classroom without leaving Taiwan.

Visited the Digital Learning Center at the Chinese Culture University. Here's a pic of me playing with some video equipment.

  • Visited the Digital Content Institute and saw presentations on Chinese language teaching programs through E-Learning.

  1. What a great idea for distance learning in a language classroom! Can we figure out how to do that with Spanish, French, etc.?

  3. Todd, what are their views on homework? Do the younger grades have to do some or is it just in the upper grades?

  4. The level of technology is amazing! I can hardly wait to hear about how we can adapt some of the ideas you saw in Taiwan here in Cupertino.
